3 Ways to Wear Overalls

Ahhhh, overalls. They’ve gone in and out of style more times than I can count. Nonetheless, they’re a reoccurring trend that’s bound to leave and come back again in no time. Believe it or not, there’s more than one way to style a pair of overalls. While a white crop top and some sneakers are a timeless fave when it comes to this look, they can be switched up to give you different styling options. The best part? You can grab a pair of long overalls and easily wear them in the fall months. In fact, overalls are the best outfit when it comes to jumping in leaves and sipping pumpkin spiced lattes by a bonfire (don’t lie, I know you’ve been sharing those cliché fall photos with captions on Facebook.)

Here are 3 different ways you can style your favorite pair of overalls:

1. A light sweater and some cute flats

This is for when the weather is starting to become a bit cool, but you still want to hold onto those carefree summer vibes. This sweater has a rustic look to it, making it a perfect match for the denim. To mix it up a bit, pair it with cute flats. These are in the same color range as the top, but give the outfit added sparkle. Top it off with a bag and you’re good to go!

Light sweater: Size medium / $10

Sparkly flats: Lower East Side / Size 6.5 / $4

White bag: $14

Overalls (all 3 photos): Tinsel Towns / $15

T-shirts will never not go with overalls. You don’t have to appear as if you’re about to go cotton picking, but that doesn’t mean you have to give up comfort for style. Pair your overalls with a shirt that has a print or saying on it, letting one strap hang to show it off. Finally, set your style apart by wearing some eye catching sneakers like this floral pair from Rue 21.

Pink t-shirt: Rue 21 / Size Medium / $3

Floral sneakers: Rue 21 / Size 8.5 / $6

Overalls aren’t just for relaxed outfits when you’re lounging at the park or walking the nature trail. This classic can also give a preppy look a quirky spin. Wear yours with an interesting button-up like this two toned striped number from Victoria’s Secret. A statement necklace and interesting open toed flats keep this style looking far from predictable.

Striped button-up: Victoria’s Secret / Size Medium /$10

Blue flats: Seychelles / Size 8 / $12

Necklace: $6
